Exciting news. Siksika Housing will be participating in the U of C School of Architecture winter studio which will focus on ideas and solutions for creating new housing on Siksika Nation. We will post opportunities for Nation members to see the work in future. The studio is completed by final year masters of architecture students, and will culminate in a series of illustrations and models for new housing which are energy efficient, respectful of the land, and quick to build. The studio will be from January to April, and will involve students coming to Blackfoot Crossing soon to share knowledge and exchange ideas with elders, housing staff, and nation members.
